Our Capital Zone has established a partnership with Bigger , Faster , Stronger Inc. , the largest and most successful training program for school age athletes in the world.  In addition to the boys and girls team training program that BFS has become famous for since the mid 1970’s ,  BFS has created a National Safety Certification Course for those teachers and coaches responsible for supervision and instruction in the weight rooms and fitness facilities in our schools.

PROCESS FOR OBTAINING THE BFS NATIONAL CERTIFICATION:

• The one-day Practical session will focus on the legal duties required of the teacher/coach responsible for instruction and supervision of the weight training or fitness facility.  The purpose will be to teach the participants to do everything necessary to avoid injuries to your students and to protect the teacher/coach in the event of an injury resulting in a lawsuit.  This also addresses the teacher/coach’s legal duty to continue his or her professional development and keep pace with the most current and best safety practices in the field of Physical Education and Athletics. 
• Upon completion of the Practical session on Saturday the students will be given a packet of instructional materials to study.
• Within ten business days after the Practical the teacher/coach will receive their Final Exam by email.
• The teacher/coach then has 45 days to complete the Final Exam on line.  The result is given immediately upon completion.
• Bigger, Faster, Stronger then sends a Certificate of Completion and the teacher/coach is given access to the BFS On-Line Learning Center where they will find every article ever published in BFS Magazine as well as extensive information on training female and male athletes for strength, flexibility, plyometrics, endurance, speed, injury prevention and “Readiness” training for middle school boys and girls.
• Come prepared for mild activity as candidates will practice and be tested for  “absolutely” perfect lifting technique (without weights) as a requirement to pass.
• The Annual Renewal of $99 provides continued access to the BFS On-Line Learning Center It does not require repeat of the Practical session.
